Wilt, Arnold, and Andre.
The clash of the titans. Here we see some of entertainment’s favorite giants, (from left to right) Wilt Chamberlain, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Andre the Giant. These three were friends who went around to occasionally have drinks and go on misadventures together. Although, with Chamberlain’s busy schedule of the basketball season, it was usually Andre and Arnold that would hang out the most.
In one famous story of the two, Andre and Arnold were dining together when the check arrived. Andre offered to pay, but Arnold insisted he would. So, Andre literally picked up that behemoth of a man like he was a baby doll, looked him in the eye and said, “I pay.” A sight that surely would’ve amazed any onlookers. The picture appears to have been taken in 1984 judging from Arnold’s and Wilt’s Conan outfits. Arnold was a movie star and icon of masculinity in the 1970’s and 80’s. He became such a successful actor that he actually became the governor of California from 2006-2014.
Wilt Chamberlain was a basketball player who competed for the famous Harlem Globetrotters, and later for various teams in the NBA. He is currently the only player in the history of the NBA to score 100 points in a single game of basketball. He is often regarded as one of the best players in history. He also appeared in one of the Conan films, Conan The Destroyer.
Andre was a professional wrestler famous because of the incredible size and strength he had. He was also reportedly one of the nicest guys you could meet and strongly disliked the fact that he was abnormally large. Doctors told him he wouldn’t live to forty and they were correct. So he lived what little time he had to the fullest.
