New disrespect for established conventions and authority meant that there was a lot of pushback against some of the 60s’ most famous icons. To some in power, the leaders of this artistic period were attacking the very basis of Western civilization.

Decades later, the Americas and Europe are still standing. It’s probably safe to assume then, that such reactionaries were just being overly sensitive. This quiz will examine all manner of past icons from the 60s. We will generally be staying away from political figures in this quiz, but a few social agitators may appear in this quiz since their impacts were less political and more cultural. For the most part, though, artists will make up the bulk of this quiz.

Movie and television stars, models, musicians, and painters helped to create the broad cultural hodgepodge that was the 1960s. Their union resulted in an age unlike any other. Rapid expansion of the artists’ will brought about unprecedented growth within the entertainment industry.
