History of Knights Quiz

History of Knights Quiz

In Europe during the Middle Ages, feudalism was the dominant way in which societies were structured. This system assigned certain individuals to rule as nobility and then assigned the rest of society to serve under them as serfs or vassals. The objective of feudalism was to put the best and brightest at the head of society to lead all people into prosperity.

However, the reality of this practice often resulted in abuses of power and inefficient hierarchies that failed to advance civilization in meaningful ways. The common people in the feudal ages were often guarded by appointed loyal warriors that nobles bonded to their service. These were the knights of European history.

The exact historic concept of a knight has been somewhat muddied over the years because of romanticism and mythologizing. However, a knight was simply a noble warrior who fought on behalf of a higher-ranking lord in exchange for a title and land. In this quiz, we are taking a look back to the age of the knights to learn about the history surrounding these powerful individuals.

We will ask you questions about some of the most famous knights from true history, facts about the knighthood in general, questions about the time of the knights, and certain historical elements that spawned from the legacy of these noble warriors.
