Michelangelo Quiz

The Michelangelo Quiz.

Art through the Middle Ages of Europe was a subject that progressed little. This is especially true of secular works. While the Church occasionally patronized grand displays of artistry to demonstrate the glory of the divine, hard times offered little opportunity for secular folks to truly advance the many fields of art. That isn’t to see there were no grand artistic triumphs during the Middle Ages, but compared to the Renaissance, those triumphs were few and far-between.

The Renaissance brought a new age of glory to the works of mankind. Finally with a new amount of prosperity and a rebirth in fascination with the accomplishments of ancient empires, the people of Europe were ready to fully embrace improving artistry. Michelangelo sat at the epicenter of the Renaissance. A genius artist with a flair for the dramatic, Michelangelo caught the eyes of influential patrons which aided in his breakout success. Not satisfied to ret on his laurels, Michelangelo is also known for his mastery of multiple different art forms. He produced masterpieces in abundance which still stand as monuments to what the spirit of man can accomplish.

Even as the world rapidly changed around him, Michelangelo continued to dedicate himself whole-heartedly to his passions. This helped to insert his name into the history books as his works appeared in multiple historical centers. Many of his works were of a religious nature due to his devotion to the Church which gladly provided for his needs. To this day, there are many who consider him the greatest in his field.
