Milla Jovovich enjoying a hamburger and a shake.
This picture was taken of Milla Jovovich when she was a young girl. It shows her in the 1990’s sitting at a retro diner with her family. You can see her mother, Galina Jovovich, sitting at the spot beside her.
Jovovich was born in Kiev, Ukraine back in 1975 when it was still a part of the U.S.S.R. Her family immigrated to the United States to escape the Soviets. Because of the hard time her parents had adapting to American life, Milla began to work as a model at a young age to help them pay the bills. In her young years she was even selected to appear on the cover of such magazines as Vogue and Cosmopolitan.
These two highly successful gigs were what provided her entry into the acting world. Her first movie role was a made-for-television film called The Night Train to Kathmandu. From there, she starred in plenty of bit roles in science fiction and thriller movies.
She would gain a bit of limelight for being in Dazed and Confused. She would also have comparable success from her roles in The Fifth Element and the controversial Resident Evil movies. These roles earned her substantial recognition as a fine actress and brought attention to her impressive portrayal of action scenes, earning her the title, “Queen of Kick Butt.” She also did some work in the music business, but nothing of immense success. She still models to this day and is still agreeing to star in the newer Resident Evil movies.
