This is appropriate considering the rhetoric surrounding the spirit of the nation has emphasized individual liberty to strive for excellence. Many bright individuals from all over the globe moved to the U.S.A. in the hopes of making it big.
Unfortunately, America isn’t always a haven for these sorts of people. Just like everywhere else in the world, there are predators in America who swim the water hoping to make a quick buck off of the individual who is truly extraordinary. Nikola Tesla was not a historical figure for much of America’s past.
In spite of his genius, he was a man whose named languished in obscurity. Much of this was due to individuals who betrayed his trust and tried to bury his achievements. Over time, rediscovery of Tesla’s work has ushered in a new era of appreciation for the man’s impact on science. In spite of his difficult circumstances, he never gave up in his dream of bettering society through the application of radical new ways of thinking.
In a way, the historical community has come to laud him as something of an under-appreciated mastermind of America’s past. This quiz will ask you questions about Tesla, his accomplishments, and his lasting impact on the world at large.
