That’s fairly understandable considering how dramatic and harrowing war stories are, especially when they provide context for why the world is the way it is. Regardless, it’s important to herald the peacekeepers as much as the soldiers. There should never be any shame in fighting for a noble cause.
By that same token, the people who keep war from happening in the first place or those who end war through diplomacy deserve as much respect and praise as those who defend their homelands on the battlefield. Peace is difficult to maintain. So many factors go into the preservation of nonviolence, from political history, ethnography, religious and cultural difference, and even respective military arsenals. The Nobel Peace Prize awards those who perform miraculous deeds in the name of preventing bloodshed.
In this quiz, we will examine the vast number of incredible people to have won this award and highlight thirty of its prestigious number. So many impactful historical figures are Nobel Peace Prize laureates that we’ve unfortunately had to leave a few incredible people off this quiz in order to keep within our thirty-question-limit.
