Presidential Nicknames Quiz
Nicknames have appeared in American politics since before the founding of the nation. Some have been humorous, and others have been more serious in nature. Similarly, nicknames have come from both supporters and detractors in order to convey different messages.
In this quiz, we will be examining America’s political history by recounting the bizarre realm of political nicknames. We will be specifically taking a look at the nicknames given to American presidents.
As a disclaimer, some of the presidents on this list will be more recent. Our cataloguing of their nicknames is intended as an objective acknowledgement that people have called them by these names. These are not judgment calls on our end. We have no desire to stoop to political mudslinging. Rather, we only want to make a fun quiz that tests your knowledge on some of the alternate titles certain presidents have been called.
Some of these names are a bit rude, but we’re not the ones coming up with them. To make sure these are widely-known nicknames, we will be sticking with ones that have been catalogued in Encyclopedia Britannica. This also allows us to steer clear of any truly rotten or downright offensive nicknames which don’t belong on a site which aims to be informative and family-friendly.
Some presidents have had multiple iconic nicknames throughout time. Because of that, we are limiting one nickname per president. This is to stop certain iconic leaders from dominating this quiz.
As much as to test, this quiz is meant to inform. So, we hope you come out of it knowing something new.
