Trivia Question

Trivia Question: The largest planet in our solar system is named for what Roman god of thunder?

Answer: Jupiter

Rome’s chief god Jupiter was based on the Greek god Zeus. Both figures were regarded as the lords of all other gods and masters of lightning. When astronomers from the West assigned names to the planets, they would use Roman gods as the namesakes for these distant astral bodies.
