Answer: Imperial Japan

Tens of thousands of American and Filipino prisoners of war were tortured during the Death March. With barely any food or water, these men were run across treacherous terrain. Some reports even claim the Japanese would entertain themselves on the March by randomly killing or torturing their prisoners.
