Trivia Question: How did Sir Walter Raleigh die in 1618?
Answer: He was beheaded.
Raleigh was an English statesman noted for his defeat of the Spanish armada. Throughout much of his later life, he searched for El Dorado the fabled city of gold. The British ended up arresting and beheading Raleigh because he raided Spanish outposts and that could have led to war.
