Trivia Question: What year came after 1 B.C.?
Answer: 1 A.D.
There is no year zero. Because B.C. and A.D. tell time relative to the year when it is believed Jesus of Nazareth was born, there is simply time before and after his birth. What’s more, B.C. years actually get small the further in the future they get. This is because those years measured how far the birth of Jesus was.
