Answer: Johannes Kepler

Kepler’s work became foundational to the advancement of astronomy. Additionally, his charts inspired Isaac Newton to coin his theories of gravity. Newton saw Kepler’s proof that planets orbited the sun and figured that the sun’s incredible mass drew other smaller bodies to revolve around it.
