Meryl Streep In Her Younger Days.
Meryl Streep is an Academy Award winning actress who has received a great reputation in the recent days of cinema. Despite the fact that she is 67 years old, she is able to pull off extremely emotional scenes and bring characters to life in a professional and dignified manner.
Because of the fact that her breakthrough into the public is rather recent, she is often thought of as the way she is today, which is why it is so unusual to see a picture of her in a role back when she was merely 29 years of age. Although she won two of her three Academy Awards at this point in her life, not much notoriety was garnered by them. After winning some acclaim, she continued to act, but without much of that same glory being given to her.
That all changed, however, when she starred in a film called The Devil Wears Prada back in 2006. Suddenly, everyone was interested in this woman who worked her role so flawlessly and was a spectacle to observe. There are some people who don’t even know that she acted before this critical breakthrough. We, however, know differently.
The picture is from a movie made in 1979 which Woody Allen directed and starred in. It was called Manhattan and followed a series of complex love triangles that included a variety of peculiar characters. Streep’s role was that of a young lady who was dating Allen even though he had his eyes on another woman. Streep has also won such distinctions as the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal of the Arts in her long career.
