Trivia Question

Trivia Question: “Remember the Maine” became a rallying cry during which American war?

Answer: The Spanish-American War

The U.S.S. Maine was a vessel that exploded in Cuba. Even though the reason for its explosion remains unsolved, the American people just assumed Spanish fighters in Cuba attacked the boat unprovoked. Newspapermen like William Randolph Hearst spread this conspiracy as a way of getting rich off people’s uninformed anger.
