It was a time in American history of unparalleled ambition and discovery. It was also a time of cruel abuses and questionable moral actions. The rapidly growing population of the young nation of America began to desire more space, land to call their own, and a nation that expanded from coast to coast.
In order to accomplish this goal, some people who were down on their luck would load up their entire families onto wagons and head toward the setting sun to find a new life. Often times, these parties were at ends with the Native Americans, which led to numerous violent altercations. At the end of the day, the U.S. stretched from ocean to ocean and the West was settled by its people.
