Trivia Question: The Roundheads of the English Civil War were members of what faction?
Answer: The Parliamentarian Faction
The origin of this derisive nickname came from the fact that many Parliamentarians kept their hair cropped closely. Such was meant to be a rejection of the curls that aristocrats commonly wore in English society at the time. Once the Civil War was resolved, it was the Parliamentarians who proved victorious.
